Dr. Jean Norris

Dr. Jean Norris is currently serves on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Illinois, a chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRFI). She has been involved in JDRF-related activities since 2007. She just completed two terms as Nominating chair and has been involved through the Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes, the Chance of a Lifetime Gala Committee, Major Donor Committee and as Secretary of the Board of Directors for JDRF Illinois. Jean was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at age twenty-one and is currently working on a book, No Sugar Added – Straight Talk from Those Living with Diabetes, which is scheduled for publication in Spring of 2012 (www.nosugaradded.org).

Norris has spent nearly 25 years in the higher education sector. She is a Managing Partner with Norton/Norris, Inc., a full-service agency based in suburban Chicago that provides marketing and training services to schools, colleges, and universities nationwide. Prior to that, she held executive-level positions at both for-profit and not-for-profit colleges and universities in Illinois.

Jean has developed several innovative training programs for the higher education sector and leads a seasoned team of trainers and course developers to help institutions exceed their enrollment and retention goals. In addition to training, she is often called upon to speak at conferences nationwide, serve as commencement speaker, and has written various articles for publications, such as The Link, Career Education Review and Career College Central. Just this past year Dr. Norris was interviewed and her works published in U.S. News & World Report, The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, and The Hill.
