Do you have an item or experience that you would like to donate to the auction? We are looking for extraordinary experiences and unique items for the 2010 auction. Can you help us secure any of the following to raise funds for diabetes research?
- Suite, skybox, or floor seats at a local sport arena
- Gourmet cooking class with a local chef
- VIP tickets to talk shows or award shows (Saturday Night Live, Oscars, etc)
- Autographed sports memorabilia
- Rounds of golf
- Spa packages
- Backstage passes and tickets to a popular performance or concert
- Trips to exotic locations
- Walk on part as an extra for a TV commercial, sitcom, or movie filming
- Stays in private homes or cottages
- Electronics – iPad, Kindle electronic book, plasma TV, digital camera
- Gift certificates to local restaurants and stores
- Jewelry
- Children’s items – passes to museums, toys, bicycles, games
- Hotel stays

Tips for Procuring Auction Items
- Consider your contacts (family, friends, colleagues, business partners) and brainstorm what they can donate
- Have something specific in mind before making the request
- Host a “Party with a Purpose” in which guests bring a new item or gift certificate to the party surrounding the party’s theme (sports theme, girls night theme, poker night, movie night, etc)
