2009 Best of Illinois

2009 Recap

In honor of Glen Tullman, over $500,000 will directly fund research of the artificial pancreas. THANK YOU for your donations to this ground-breaking program!

During this extremely exciting time in diabetes research, JDRF is actively focused on cure-driven research. At Best of Illinois, guests had the opportunity to take part in Fund-A-Cure, allowing them to directly impact the search for a cure.

As the co-chair of the Artificial Pancreas Project, Mr. Tullman truly believes that research in this area will bring us to a cure. JDRF has taken the lead in accelerating the development of the artificial pancreas – a system that can revolutionize diabetes care and dramatically improve the lives of people with type 1 diabetes. Today, we are poised to actively drive the creation of the first commercially available artificial pancreas by partnering with industry. The ultimate endpoint: A safe and effective FDA-approved artificial pancreas available to people with type 1 diabetes.

Please visit www.jdrf.org to learn more about this groundbreaking research.
